The chintzy hat

The hat is finished. Very chintzy isn't it?

It's lined with a bright red pin dot fabric.

And it's actually big enough to fit my big head!

I intend to make another but with a slightly narrower brim. This hat was made using the Nicole Mallalieu adult hat pattern. The instructions are excellent and the largest hat size fits me perfectly. I'm also contemplating making this in wool or velvet or felt for a nice winter hat. What do you think?

Hope you're having a great weekend, friends.

  1. Love it!! It is chintzy ... and really summery! I like the lining too - shame no-one gets to see that bit when you're wearing it.

Makes me want to see what I've got in my stash and make a summer hat ... but I'm going to try not to get distracted and stick to my list!!
